Lexington, KY based video/performance artist promoting the individual's role toward bringing the Singularity. N Warner's Webpage
I am actively interested in producing informational video and multimedia propaganda to get the message out on how every individual can contribute to bringing about the Singularity.
Please contact me if you have an idea for a project, I would love to contribute my skills and resources.
Attention: I am highly interested in Personal Life Recorders. I hope to develop a section here on sl4 which will investigate the possibilities and technical hurdles of producing wearable computing devices that will begin storing human sensory information. This is an important step closer to superhumans. Please bring your ideas to this section.

Hi Nick! I have a project for you called The Cryo Prize, I need a graphic designer and a web designer, if you can help email me to info@nanoaging.com thanks.
Hi Nick! I'm working on a project I call OneBigSoup. I am writing, with some other people, software to integrate and extend communication systems.
One of the ones we're pushing hard right now is called LocalNames. I believe that it is critical towards pushing forwards the Human Singularity, which will CoDevelop into and with the MachineSingularity.
Ease of linking between spaces is super-important. Wiki demonstrates that, but I believe we can go further- further even than CommunityWiki:InterWiki- I believe we can extend wiki-like linking (linking by a short name) to just about every communication system. I believe that when we do that, our LinkLanguage will develop, further strengthening the capabilities of the HiveMind. That is- places will become even more "canonical" by frequent routing via LinkLanguage. Arguments will be clearer as the targets of language are easily linked. People will care more about wiki and thinking about ThePublicWeb. Blogs and wiki will merge, as people can use link language in their blogs to refer to wiki pages, and vice versa. Blogs, wiki, static web sites, mailing lists, instant messages, IRC/Jabber chat rooms, hell- maybe even locations in MUDs all mesh into OneBigSoup. An integrated soup. It'll push along the InternetConcentration, meaning that we'll figure out what we're doing and develop our technology faster.
Sure- there's a lot of communications technology improvements we can make. I've just picked one that I thought was a good strategic starting point.
Where do you come into this?
Well, we need pictures. We need pictures that spark the imagination, and subliminally communicate the idea we're trying to make. Something that makes people see what we're talking about, since you can't just *tell* people things. (How did I get that link? It was a local name, and I resolved it with a local names resolver- by http://localnames.taoriver.net/lion/YouCantTellPeopleAnything . If a wiki were enabled with LocalNames, I could tell it to intelligently make links for my additions by my localnames description file, and I wouldn't have to have looked up any URLs.)
Your task, if you choose to accept it, is to make a neat psychadelic futurist picture that somehow communicated what we mean to do with LocalNames.
Perhaps a trippy montage of graphics, representing web pages on the Internet, with full URLs (naaasty long URLs!) in grey, with bright neon white LocalNames connecting them, and surrounding text representing the text that invokes the name, and then show that the pages are all connected by their local names, - or something like that. Just something trying to communicate what we're trying to do.
Ok. There you are. :)
There's something you can do if you like.
If you want to help out some other project, or do something else, let me know. I like to hook people up with projects. I know a lot of people, and can think of a lot of people who'd like to put your talents to good use! Feel free to call me up: 206.440.0247, or drop me an e-mail: lion at speakeasy dt org.
