Kinder-Than-Human
From the SL4 Lexicon:
Kinder-Than-Human:
Term to describe minds that exceed the kindness displayed by any human throughout history, and possess the rationality and wisdom to apply their kindness appropriately. Since evolution on Earth tends to create organisms that possess selfish tendencies, humans have certain bounds as to the amount and quality of kindness they are capable of displaying (this is supported by Evolutionary Psychology). With the de novo creation of synthetic minds, or neurologically/cybernetically modified human beings, these bounds need constrain us no longer. Kinder-Than-Human intelligence would be most effective if coupled with smarter-than-human intelligence and Recursive Self-Improvement, as would be the case with successful Friendly AI. Michael Anissimov's term. See also altruism, altruist.
