Design Pressure:
A persistent complexity-generating force of some kind. Two common examples would be "evolutionary Design Pressure" (what is invoked in the creation of a kitten) and "intelligent Design Pressure" (what is invoked in the creation of a software program). In Evolutionary Psychology and biology, often referred to in the context of "selection pressure".
